The Review - The Mad Murderer by loleris

The Mad Murderer, one of Mad Studio's most popular games!

The Mad Murderer is a game by Mad Studio, and is the most popular murder game which is still extremely popular. You are chosen to play as either an innocent player, in which you have to survive the round and figure out who the murderer is to help the sheriff, the sheriff himself, in which you have to find out who the murderer was and shoot him down, or the murderer, in which you have to take out every player before time runs out or dying. If the sheriff is killed, the gun will be dropped and any player that touches it gets the revolver.

You can purchase abilities, knife skins, and accessories with credits. You can get credits from credit rains, giveaways, the VIP room, and the daily login bonus. Gun skins are yet to be added, but in the next big update that has been confirmed they might be added! Abilities include things like the Lazer Knife, in which when you get the knife at full power, you can throw it instantly (pretty much a sheriff but with a knife), Shapeshifter, with which you can change your character to another character to trick people (doesn't work well when you have the Epic Radio), and Bulletproof, in which you have to be shot twice to be killed, or, in Murder Madness, stabbed twice.

There's also a Murder Madness round, where everyone is a murderer. You must fight to the death and take everyone out to win the round.

MY EXPERIENCE

Like most Mad Studio games, this game nearly instantly won me over. I think that the game was made extremely well, and obviously a lot of work was put into the game. I have 2 of 3 gamepasses on my alt, since at the time of the selling of them my alt had a valuable limited, so I decided to sell it and buy the gamepasses. Anyways, this is the only murder game that I still play, and I enjoy it very much.

I thought the gameplay was very good and smooth, and I rarely ever encountered any bugs. There's still a hiding place that I use that you pretty much glitch into, but I didn't tell anyone about it and it hopefully won't get patched. I sometimes don't use it, because it's pretty much cheating. Exploiting was a major problem in the begginning of the game, but it's since been patched. There's a new exploit going around but I think it's only in Mad Paintball, but it might be here.

I thought that the murderer wasn't too powerful, but wasn't weak enough to make him seem like a wannabe robber that's never had to do any work in his life. The murderer instantly kills players and also gets more speed when holding the knife, but killing people in public runs the risk of someone seeing you and shouting out your name constantly and telling the sheriff to kill you.

I always get excited when I play as the sheriff, even if I would rather play as the murderer. Sometimes the sheriff seems too powerful, since all he has to do is click on the murderer when he is in sight to kill him. Bullets don't take a while to get to its destination, but it still is hard to aim when the murderer is hopping around. I call them bunny rabbits, but it's not meant as an insult!

RATING

7/10 - This game was well-made and is very fun, but its repetitive gameplay hasn't gotten me to continue playing. I rarely play it, and the last time I played it was when there was a merge, where they merged old content that was updated with newer content. I prefer Mad Paintball, but if you're looking for a good murder game with unique features, I suggest The Mad Murderer.

ROBLOX Discussion - Is ROBLOX Appropriate For Kids?

This post was originally going to be released next week, but we decided to post it early for 2015!

When ROBLOX was made, it was intended for kids to be able to come and create their own worlds. It was created so that kids of a young age, mainly kids that are younger than 10, to come together and have a good time on a nice site. But I'm not so sure that it's good for kids anymore. These are the points I've put together to support my idea.

1. More Tolerance

It takes a lot more to get banned now than it used to. I have sent in pictures and videos of people trying to scam me, and yet ROBLOX has never taken action. In the past, I could've gotten someone permanently banned for doing something like this! ROBLOX is growing larger and because of that, they are letting things slide.

2. Admins That Won't Take Action

Don't get me wrong, the admins on ROBLOX are great and make ROBLOX a better experience. I have personally met some admins in-game and it was really fun. But as stated above, they are less strict.

One admin actually put in his description that if he sees someone hacking in a game, he won't ban them. What's that saying? That we're allowed to hack? That hacking is okay? Things like this encourage people to hack since they know they won't get in trouble.

3. Vulgar Community

When I first joined in late 2010, at least in my experience, people were much nicer to me and other people. I did things with other people, played more co-op games, and had a much better time. But the ROBLOX community has been going downhill ever since then. I see people trying to escape the filter, cussing other people out, telling people to kill themselves. And that's not even a rare sight to see. And once you report them, what happens? They get nothing but a warning, if even that.

I have personally seen people get bullied, and I stuck up for them. Most of the time it worked, and the bully ended up leaving the game because they "had stuff to do," but sometimes a bunch of people join in the bullying, and then the victim leaves because they're being so mean to them. It's horrific and cruel, and I personally hope that whoever does things like that will be banned from ROBLOX. But this isn't even uncommon, just like the harassment. If you're getting bullied, more people will join the side of whoever has the worst insults and comebacks, which is often the unintelligent bully.

Summing It All Up

Basically, a ruder community and more tolerance for bad things make ROBLOX less appropriate for kids. Kids are exposed to inappropriate content and often get bullied on a daily basis. I think that ROBLOX is not for kids. What do you think?

Happy New Years From The ROBLOX Galaxy!

It's officially 2015, and we're deciding to release a post early to celebrate.

Also, we'd thought we'd give you some information on how The ROBLOX Galaxy is going to run.

We are not looking for writers, so please do not ask where to apply for a job. If we decide to hire people, we will tell you.

We will have 2-3 posts a week, unless said otherwise or it is a special occasion.

You are able to submit a post to Jophnist, and if I like it, I will make any editing marks needed.

Thanks for reading! The new post will be coming out soon.
